People often wonder why Toastmasters clubs hold speech contests. The official reason is the individual utilizes a different environment to improve their speeches. Unofficially, it's a lot of fun, not only for the listeners, but for the contestants too. It gives novice speakers an opportunity to hear those who are more polished and professional. In the case of the Humorous and Tall Tales contests, it's creative, entertaining and one laugh after another. |
