New Toastmasters Leadership Track

The new Toastmasters development program includes both communication and leadership skills. The recognition awards of the new leadership track are:

  • Competent Leader (CL) - Completing the ten projects in Competent Leadership manual
  • Advanced Leader - Bronze (ALB) - Achieved the CL award. Achieved Competent Communicator award (or achieved Competent Toastmaster award). Served at least six months as a club officer (president, vice president education, vice president membership, vice president public relations, secretary, treasurer or sergeant at arms) and participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan while serving in this office. While serving in the above office, participated in a district-sponsored club officer training program. Conduct any two programs from The Successful Club Series and/or The Leadership  Excellence Series.
  • Advanced Leader - Silver (ALS) - Achieved the ALB award (or “old” Competent Leader award). Served a complete term as a district officer (district governor, lieutenant governor, public relations officer, secretary, treasurer, division governor or area governor). Completed the High Performance Leadership program. Served successfully as a club sponsor, mentor or coach.

Completing ALS and the Advanced Communicator Gold award enables a person to become a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), Toastmasters highest award.

Current Toastmasters Leadership Track

The current Leadership awards can be applied for until June 30, 2008. The Toastmasters program includes the development of both communication and leadership skills. The recognition awards of the leadership track are:

  • Competent Leader (CL) - Served at least six months as a club officer (president, vice president education, vice president membership, vice president public relations, secretary, treasurer or sergeant at arms) and participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan while serving in this office. Conduct any two programs from The Successful Club Series and/or The Leadership  Excellence Series.
  • Advanced Leader (AL) - Achieved the CL award. Served a complete term as a district officer (district governor, lieutenant governor, public relations officer, secretary, treasurer, division governor or area governor). Completed the High Performance Leadership program. Served successfully as a club sponsor, mentor or coach.

Completing ATM-G and the Advanced Leader award enables a person to become a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), Toastmasters highest award.
